OK, this is top-of the line for spell damage as far as it goes for weapons, but it it really worth it? IMO, no.įor one, compare with Major Spellpower - which costs 8 Large Prisms and 8 G. And also, most people I know that got their epic flyer and have mostly greens/blues are very bummed that they didn't think about how worthless it is if you arent lazy and fly on your 60% mount across outland. They may cost alot, but they are worth it in the end.īTW, I guarantee you that nobody with great gear/enchants that doesnt have their epic flying mount is too bummed about it. If you are looking to top damage, you need these high-end enchants. So quite honestly, an arcane/fire mage would love this for a great weapon. And as for cone of cold, you MIGHT use that occasionally as an arcane/fire mage if you are deep arcane and don't have dragons breath (because they share a timer) but again you don't use cone of cold in raids except for aoe mobs. As for Ice lance, you NEVER use it in a raid unless you want that TINY bit of extra damage for the charts when the boss is at less than 1% (no time to cast and fire blast is on CD). No mage in their right mind would say "%^&* that, I want more frost nova damage". Comment by ThottbotDude, you dont use frost nova except to freeze.
